I would like to start off by giving a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came out and celebrated with Tommy Jones this last Friday. He said he didn’t know that he had that many friends. It was exciting to see him having such a wonderful night. Tommy is truly a GEM of the community and the golf club. Happy 79 Tommy!
With spring golf well underway and the course getting busy I anticipate another great season of golf. There is going to be a lot of work done out on the course this season. If you are interested in volunteering any amount of your time to picking up sticks, cleaning out flowerbeds, trimming trees, raking leaves or picking up the winter crop of “raisins” we would welcome any and all of your help. Our official “spring clean up day is set for Saturday April 23rd form 9AM-Noon. If you can’t make it that day, Mark and I would be happy to set you up with the equipment on any day that you would like to come out and beautify the course. If you have questions on specific projects or ideas please feel free to talk to Mark or I about them.
The High School has started golf practice and will soon be out on the course. I appreciate everyone’s cooperation when the kids are out practicing.
April is right around the corner and that means MASTERS DRAFT! If you have not signed up your team yet please come in and get your name on the list. There are only a few spots left! The draft will be held on Wednesday April 6th @ 7:00 PM.
I still have chances for you to win Ryder Cup tickets! Stop in the clubhouse for details. All proceeds benefit the Redwood Falls Junior Golf Association.
I look forward to seeing you all very soon!
Junior Golf Association
In an effort to grow the game of golf for the future of our club we will be forming a junior golf association. The goal is to provide junior golf memberships, lessons, tournaments and reserved tee times for youth to come and enjoy the game of golf. If you would like to be involved in the junior golf association as a volunteer or would like to make donations please contact me.
Golf Course Improvements
We have members who have stepped forward to match donated funds for golf course improvements. These members have asked that a minimum of $10,000 be raised by members of the club, but will match up to $15,000. I have commitments from members already for $12,000. These funds will be used to improve specific items on the golf course. If you would like more information on donating please contact me.
New for 2016

In addition to Olivia, Eagle Creek in Willmar has agreed to another year of reciprocity for members of our club. The rate is the same, $25 plus tax for 18 holes and a cart. If you would like to play either Olivia or Eagle Creek contact me and I will set up your tee times.
